About Callejear.at

Callejear.at is an editorially independent street directory for Austria. We turn publicly available geodata into readable pages for residents, prospective buyers and anyone curious about a neighborhood.

What we do

We document around 122,818 streets across 2,125 Austrian municipalities. For each street we show infrastructure, local services, transit access, green areas and — where available — real-estate prices. From those signals we compute a Street Score on a 0–100 scale.

How we do it

The content comes from an automated data pipeline that downloads public sources, enriches them, and renders them as readable pages. Updates follow the rhythm of the source data, primarily the OpenStreetMap releases.

Founder and Editor

Yoel Castaño Peón is the founder and sole editor of Callejear.at. He has been building the Callejear system on top of European open urban data since 2021.

How we are funded

Callejear.at is funded by advertising revenue (Google AdSense). We do not accept hidden sponsored content, exclusive arrangements with real-estate companies, or paid placements in our rankings.

Ads are clearly labeled as such. Our data analysis is separate from advertising — no federal state or municipality is rated higher in exchange for payment.

Our editorial commitments

Data sources and independence

Callejear.at uses OpenStreetMap as the primary source, supplemented by public datasets from Statistik Austria, WKO and GTFS feeds — where available for each region.

We are not affiliated with real-estate agencies, developers or intermediaries. The project is funded by advertising, clearly marked as such.
