Privacy policy (summary)
This is an informal English summary. The legally binding version is the German Datenschutzerklärung, compliant with GDPR, DSG (Austrian Data Protection Act) and ePrivacy Directive.
Who we are
Callejear.at is operated as a private project. The responsible party and contact details are in the Imprint.
What we collect
- Server logs — IP address (truncated after 24h), user agent, request path. Retention 30 days for security. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).
- Cookies — no first-party cookies are set by Callejear.at. Google Funding Choices, an IAB TCF v2.2-certified Consent Management Platform, controls when advertising scripts may set cookies. EEA/UK/Switzerland visitors must give consent through that banner before personalised ads load.
- AdSense — Google may set advertising cookies (
__gads,__gpi,NID,IDE,FCNEC/FCCDCF) only after you give consent via the Funding Choices banner.
What we do NOT collect
- No accounts, no login, no passwords.
- No location tracking.
- No personal information from visitors — the site is pure read-only.
Recipients and third-country transfers
- Hosting: Hetzner Online GmbH (Falkenstein, Germany) — EU-based; no third-country transfer.
- CDN / DDoS protection: Cloudflare, Inc. (US) — participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (DPF); transfer covered by adequacy decision.
- Advertising / Consent Management: Google Ireland Ltd. and Google LLC (US) — Google LLC participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (DPF); transfer covered by adequacy decision. Cookies set only after consent.
- Map tiles: OpenStreetMap Foundation (UK) — UK adequacy decision applies.
